Who we are

Mainline Construction (2014) Ltd. is a well respected general contractor in the City of Grande Prairie, Alberta, with a bank of experience over a 25 year period.

We have experience in everything from lump sum to design build contracts.

Mainline Construction (2014) Ltd. has completed projects in the range of $15,000 to $15M.

 

Employees & Equipment

Mainline Construction (2014) Ltd. consists of well respected employees, from skilled general labourers to equipment operators, Foremans, Superintendents, and Project Managers, who carry experience, motivation, and dedication to every project. 

 

Mainline Construction (2014) Ltd. has a fleet of equipment, ranging from Excavators, Crawlers, and Graders, to Rock Trucks, Motor Scrapers, and Compactors.  Mainline Construction (2014) Ltd. also has a bank of highway trucks, for transporting both aggregate, and machinery.

 

Along with the excavation/earthworks, and underground excavation/trenching equipment, Mainline Construction (2014) Ltd. has a Hydrovac/Flush Truck for locating existing underground utilities.

 

 

Key Personnel

Brad Ogston

Brad Ogston, General Manager

Brad has been part of the Volker Stevin organization since 2003 where he started in the underground utilities division.  He was promoted to a project manager/estimator in 2005 and soon after obtained his C.E.T and G.S.C. He brings a wealth of project management, estimating and contract negotiation experience to his current role.  Brad is responsible for the daily operations of the company.

Harvey Bennett

Harvey Bennett, President

The founder of Mainline, Harvey brings over 35 years of experience to the company and has an impressive track record of achievement. Through out his career Harvey has always maintained a high level of quality while adhering to deadlines, budgets and specifications. Harvey has a proven history of developing teams to complete and projects while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Howard Isaac

Howard Isaac, General Superintendent

Responsibilities as a superintendent are to run the day to day operations of all underground and earthworks crews. Duties include project setup, quality control, safety and environment coordination, and scheduling. The operations are also conducted in accordance of the specifications and in conjunction with the owners and engineers.

Marvin Baker

Marvin Baker, Corporate Controller 

Marvin joined Mainline Construction (2014) Ltd. in November 2014 after serving as the Controller for a manufacturing facility in Peace River, Alberta. Marvin started his career at a chartered accounting firm after graduating with a degree in business. After several years, he moved to industry working in various accounting roles in Forestry, Manufacturing and the Public Sector and received his CGA designation in 2006.

Anthony Binga

Anthony Binga, Safety Officer

Anthony joined Mainline Construction (2014) Ltd. in 2016. He is an NCSO and is the Corporate Services Safety Resource Officer for Mainline. He brings years of experience from Oil & Gas, Construction & Trucking industries and incorporates that into promoting the safety management program. He works closely with employees of all levels to provide guidance and experience to continue building a safe work environment.

Darren Tremblay

Darren Tremblay, Shop Foreman

Darren has been with Mainline Construction (2014) Ltd. for 10 years in a variety of different roles involving equipment maintenance and asset management. Darren began his career as an apprentice heavy duty mechanic here at Mainline and completed his journeyman Red Seal heavy duty mechanic. Darren has been a big part in Mainline's new shop expansion and is a key part of a constantly growing and changing company.
